What was tested?

A report should name the tests, laboratory, date and results. “Tested” on its own does not tell you what the lab checked or found.

Does “not detected” mean zero?

It means the test did not detect the substance above its reporting limit. Read that limit and the measurement units alongside the result.

What a report covers, and what it doesn’t

A lab report describes the samples the lab received, tested by the methods it names, on the date it gives. It tells you about that batch, not every batch, and only about the substances on its list. Match the lot number on the report to the tube in your hand.

A report is not a certification. A certification is granted by the organization that runs it, under its own rules. If a brand calls a product certified, it should name who certified it and for what.
