SLS may be written out in full
Look for sodium lauryl sulfate. Tooth Wizard leaves it out and uses sodium cocoyl glutamate, a coconut-derived cleanser.
Fruit flavors can still contain mint
Peppermint, spearmint and wintergreen may appear under their botanical names. Tooth Wizard Vanilla Mint lists all three oils. The Strawberry label lists “Flavor” without a breakdown, so we don’t call it mint-free.
Check the age and amount directions
Read who the toothpaste is for, how much to use, and the instructions about spitting and supervision. Ask the brand or your dentist if anything is unclear.
